Finnbrit Film Club – April 2025

The Finnbrit Film Club gets together 4–6 times per year to watch a film that was made in Finland, comes with English subtitles, and is free to show without a licence fee.

The film starts at 18:00. Please arrive early for a refreshment and a good seat. After the film, please stay and share your thoughts on the people and the places of the film and if and how they differ from the Finland you know. What would have life been like for those people in those places? What has changed? But of course also – what did you think of the film?

The April 2025 film is: Ihmiset suviyössä (People in the Summer Night) 1948 

Please note that the film has not been chosen with a particular audience in mind, it has not been previewed for suitability, and due to its age it may contain stereotypes or negative depictions of people, as well as words or events that can be found offensive. It may also contain sex, violence, or horror.

This event is free for all to attend but you must book in advance.
