Buckingham Palace announced on Friday, April 9, that His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, has died at the age of 99.
Throughout a life of active engagement, the Duke of Edinburgh’s verve and intellect has served to inspire countless young people. His commitment to our shared responsibilities was no better illustrated than in his dutiful, lifelong support for the work of his wife and the United Kingdom’s monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
We wish to extend our deepest condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and The Royal Family as they mourn his loss. The British Monarchy (royal.uk)
