Centenary events mark the anniversary of ‘Finnbrit’: 100 years of cultural exchange and friendship.
The Finnish British Society ry proudly celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2026, marking a century of promoting cultural exchange and friendship between Finland and the United Kingdom. Founded in 1926 by renowned public figure Jaakko Kahma, the Society has played a vital role in promoting language, culture, and traditions across borders.
The centenary celebrations will include a series of events in Helsinki, featuring keynote speakers, cultural performances, and a variety of reflections on the Society’s rich history.
As we celebrate our 100th anniversary, we look back with gratitude and forward with excitement. The Society has always been a bridge between cultures, and we warmly invite everyone to join us in honouring this remarkable milestone.
